Grant Applications

Organisations seeking grants

Organisations seeking grants may have charitable status, should be non-profit making with written objectives and a constitution that must accompany their application together with three years of certified accounts.

An application form can be downloaded here or by following the link on the right hand side of this page.

The application form must be fully completed giving as much information as possible.

‘The Trustees reserve the right to request additional information and may defer or decline applications until this information has been received. The Trustees normally meet four times a year in February, May, August and November so your organisation could miss out on a grant if the Trustees have insufficient information to agree a grant that is time sensitive.’

Where the request is for a specific cost (whether or not you are applying for the full amount) then either two quotations or a letter from a third party substantiating the cost of an activity must be attached to the application.

The Trustees reserve the right to audit the recipients’ use of funds granted.

Under normal circumstances grants will not be made to the benefit of general funds or for running costs.

In certain situations conditional grants may be made and where that is the case organisations will be contacted with these details.  Grants will only be paid once the applicant has accepted the conditions.

To qualify for a grant, your organisation must be based in the civil parishes of Barton under Needwood and Dunstall or supporting people who reside within that area.  The Trust imposes certain conditions on the Trustees in terms of what grants can be given for and applications that fall outside the remit of the Trust will not be considered. In all cases the decision of the Trustees is final. .

Where the request is for a specific cost (whether or not you are applying for the full amount) then either two quotations for the cost of any equipment or services or a letter from a third party substantiating the cost of an activity must be attached to the application.

Where an application concerns issues that may need further substantiation e.g. health related issues then applicants may be requested to provide letters of support from those professionals dealing with their situation.

In certain situations conditional grants may be made and where that is the case applicants will be contacted with these details.  Grants will only be paid once the applicant has accepted the conditions (and applicants may be required to produce evidence of purchase).
